Experienced Attorney

Over two decades as a general practice trial attorney, Judge Huesmann has provided broad legal services to the community and gained a real-world understanding for how the law impacts the people of La Crosse County. Judge Huesmann proudly served as a court commissioner for Judge Todd Bjerke for 16 years and as the Coulee Region Joint Municipal Court judge since 2020.

Veteran Advocate

A retired Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Army Reserve, Judge Huesmann was deployed to Afghanistan and, in 2011, was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. Judge Huesmann has shown unwavering commitment to his fellow service members. Judge Huesmann currently oversees the La Crosse Area Veterans Court (LAVC), and is a founding member of the La Crosse Area Veteran Mentor Program.

Educator and Advisor

An adjunct instructor turned teaching professor, Judge Huesmann has been sharing his legal experience with business students at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He has also served as an attorney advisor for students at the UW-La Crosse Student Life Office.
